ABOUT ALEXANDER BLOT
Alexander Blot has been working on the streets for more than 10 years. His first wall drawing was made on May 18, 2008. General feature of his paintings is working under textures and walls textures, in particular. Often, for visual expression, he uses stylised characters and illustrates imaginary stories for expressing his thoughts and inner emotional experiences. Blot enjoys creating with different materials and surfaces, in his studio — watercolours on paper and acrylic on canvas, and on the streets — a spray and water-based paint on metal, bricks and concrete. Formats he usually works with at urban space, vary from small dilapidated walls to large-scale facades of multi-storey buildings. In spite of an already established and recognisable visual language, Alexander leaves an opportunity to experiment with form, composition and colour for himself.
